Why this matters here
The Period Pantry is building a Prince George’s County chapter to connect neighbors with free menstrual products and a welcoming local volunteer community. We’re creating ways to support students, people facing economic hardship, people in recovery, and survivors seeking safety.
Period poverty can affect people in every community. A student may need products to get through the school day; someone navigating homelessness, recovery, or financial hardship may have to prioritize other essentials; and a survivor leaving an unsafe situation may need discreet access to care. The Period Pantry works to make menstrual products available without proof of need, questions, or judgment.
